Casa Oliana - villa with pool in Spain

The area around Casa Oliana (Cómpeta / Axarquía / Málaga / Costa del Sol / Andalucia / South Spain) is beautiful Andalucian countryside, with many spectacular views from the terraces. There are plenty of stunning walks into the Andalucian countryside accessible from Casa Oliana. The pretty seaside town of Torrox Costa is within 20 minutes drive, this is a traditional Spanish resort unspoilt by the high rise development of other Costa del Sol towns. The more well known resort of Nerja (Burriana Beach) is reached with a 30 minute drive from Casa Oliana. Málaga, with its multitude of shopping opportunities and delightful winding streets is only a 1 hour drive from the Finca.

Cómpeta is situated approx 50 km from Málaga and 16 kilometres from the coast at Torrox Costa, at an altitude of 600 m. It lies within the area of Axarquía in the foothills of the Sierra Almijara, on the scenic Route of Sun and Wine (ruta del Sol y Vino), and has a population of approx. 4,000. The area is irrigated by numerous springs and streams from the surrounding mountains. The nearby Nature Reserve is spectacularly beautiful. The main product here is the grape; the wines of Cómpeta being excellent and renowned throughout Spain. There is a wine museum in the village that sells different types of local produce, as well as doubling as a bar and restaurant. Cómpeta is a pretty village which has retained its original Moorish layout and has lots of interesting places with a good balance of shops, bars and restaurants.
