From Cómpeta you can also drive 35 minutes to the beach of Torrox Costa. Nonetheless, if you decide to take theshortcut to the sea, you will need some determination for it is a narrow and unpaved dirt road which in some sections goes downhill as well. Even so, if you drive through it you will reach a relatively wide and not very busy beach at the western end of El Morche in about 25 minutes (about 11.5 km, approx. 2 km west from Torrox Costa). You won't need an off-road vehicle for this, but they are, of course, much safer and easy to drive. In any case you will notice there are some potholes. You can also enjoy the small forest of oleander at the side of the road.
In Casa Angelica there are several partially covered terraces from which there are magnificent views over the Mediterranean and also over the coast of Africa in the winter. There is also an outdoor barbecue and several hammocks.
