To reach the village of Carataunas (which is clearly marked on all good road maps) from Granada, take the motorway towards Motril and the coast, turn left onto the A 348 to Lanjaron. Continue 11 kms towards Orgiva, and, just before Orgiva turn left onto the A 7210 which is signposted to Pampaneira. The right turn into Carataunas is 6 kms later and is signposted. Drive towards the village and park in the large car park. The house is a minute´s walk away.

There are daily buses to the Alpujarran capital of Orgiva (6k) which is crammed with bars, shops, restaurants, and the exciting weekly crafts and artisan market (Thursdays). Orgiva is an excellent central point to catch buses to the rest of Andalucia.
